Fashion: A Chic Birthday Wish

So March is my birthday month and I apparently share the same birthday as Sharon Stone, Olivia Wilde, Carrie Underwood and Chuck Norris! Compare to when I was younger, I feel less compel to celebrate and have a big party. Now, a simple dinner with my closet friends and family is more than enough dinner to commemorate another year of growing older and wiser:)

What better way to celebrate a low key or extravagant birthday than with this asymmetric jacquard dress. I love wearing LBD for special occasions like weddings, graduations and birthdays because it is a great investment piece . Not only is this dress well made but it also has an amazing oblique neckline and embossed details on the fabric. Anything with subtle details on the material always makes the piece more expensive looking even when its not. What I did find was that the top part of the dress tends to fit a little small, so I suggest ordering a size up so you have the option for tailoring if needed. So now, all you need is your favourite clutch, designer pumps and some simple statement jewelry to blow out however many the candles you need! But seriously whose counting?

So what’s more important than a good birthday dress? Well birthday hair of course! I got the chance to test out T3 micros new luxe volume hot rollers and I have to say I am in love! I wasn’t a fan of hot rollers until this set, when it gave me these beautifully natural curls in less than 20 minutes. Not just visually stunning in rose gold and black enamel, these luxurious rollers are powered by HeatCore Technology that allows them to heat up incredibly fast with optimal heat transfer. I also love that it comes in this luxurious leather case that is wonderful to store and travel with. Inside you will find 8 rollers in two sizes (1.5″ & 1.75″) and 8 well-made clips embossed with the T3 logo. However, since I have a lot of hair and also very long hair, I find that there weren’t enough rollers to go around in creating a full look at once. But they do sell extra rollers in various sizes, so you have the option of getting more rollers if needed. The only problem I have with this set are the clips which work fine with the smaller (1.5’) rollers but not big enough to secure my hair for the bigger (1.75”) rollers. Other than that, T3 micro created another remarkable hair tool that is easy-to-use, well made and most importantly gave my hair effortless body, volume and shine!
